The Han Dynasty lasted 400 years and was contemporary with the Golden Age of Rome. During this dynasty China officially became a Confucian state and the tea-drinking tradition began. This dark, almost black zisha teapot is a replica of one used during the Later Han or Eastern Han Dynasty which lasted from A.D. 25 to 220.
