A stylishly arched handle accents this delightful teapot. The teapot has
a globular belly which curves slightly inwards towards the flat base. The
joining part of the curved spout and the belly is decorated with
applied designs of a quatrefoil of persimmon's tip. The quadrangular handle
with round corners is shaped like a bridge. This pot is modeled after one
unearthed from the tomb of the eunuch Wu Jing of the Ming Dynasty at
Majiashan outside the Zhonghua Gate of the Nanjing City (dated to 1533).
