Red Moon Pot.

Red Moon Pot.
The old man of the moon, also known as Chieh Lin, the God of Marriage, is said to decide the nuptial unions of mortals and record them in a book; he is believed to connect the feet of those persons destined to marry with an invisible red silk thread. Red also is the symbol of virtue, especially of truth and sincerity, the South and the Yang principal. This teapot has a circular body, handle and spout made of black zisha. The upper surface of the body is made of brilliant red zisha into which a smaller circular black lid is set. (Price includes free shipping and handling within the continental United States on all orders of $50 and above. A $6 shipping and handling charge will be assessed on all orders under $50.)
